OK, so I haven’t even mentioned Fashion Week. Maybe I’ve been preoccupied with Egypt or maybe I’ve been doing other things because well… Fashion Week hasn’t been that exciting for me this season. Of course, the September shows are usually where it’s at, but I didn’t want you to think I was turning into some design-hating intellectual. Far from it. I love clothes and always will, my dears. So far, Monique Lhuillier has captured my attention. It’s romantic, tailored-lace Victorian themes, along with neutral, sexy colors make this line my favorite of the season. That red dress? Jesus.

Shows run till Thursday the 17th and unlike years past at Bryant Park, the shows are not only at Lincoln Center, but located in galleries and event spaces all over Manhattan. For your added usual enjoyment though, there are still tons of parties to go along with all of the shows. Pick your favorites, don your best dress and try to get in.
